ENGLISH: Among the best things you can do for your body is to start the day with a glass of green juice. It gives you a kick of essential vitamins, minerals and enzymes needed for the body to function optimally. Check out this video for more on green juice. Here is my basic recipe, I vary it by throwing in a little bit of what I happen to have in the fridge at the moment. Don’t be afraid to play around with proportions and new ingredients, like different varieties of herbs, the worse that can happen is that it tastes a little bit bad, right? To save time, I make about a quart and drink half of it in the morning and save half until later. And, remember, only use organic produce! Finally, for those of you wondering, I use a juicer from Breville.

Green Muse Juice
1 cucumber
2-3 stalks celery
a large handful of swiss chard
a large handful of kale
a large handful of spinach
a handful of parsley
a handful of sprouts
1 apple or pear
2 broccoli stalks (gives a nice sweet taste, save the flowers for salads)
an inch or so fresh ginger
